Starting Sundays for 2 hours, Second Semester, Food Club is a hands-on after-school program where students learn by making food together. Participants prepare simple dishes, explore basic cooking skills, and work as a team while learning about ingredients, creativity, and responsibility in the kitchen. The club emphasizes collaboration, confidence, and fun—turning food into a shared experience that builds practical skills and community.

2 Grocery Store Orientation & Smart Shopping Skills Learning store layout, comparing products, and planning before buying.

 

3 Reading Food Labels & Understanding Ingredients Calories, sugar, protein, fiber, and identifying healthier choices.

 

4 Budgeting for Healthy Meals Comparing prices, unit costs, and building affordable meal plans.

 

5 Building a Balanced Salad Choosing greens, proteins, toppings, and healthy dressings.

 

6 Healthy Sandwich & Wrap Creations Combining ingredients for taste, nutrition, and variety.

 

7 Protein Power & Smart Snack Boxes Creating ready-to-eat snack kits with balanced nutrients.

 

8 Sugar Awareness & Processed Food Comparison Learning how marketing differs from nutritional reality.

 

9 Hydration & Smart Beverage Choices Comparing drinks and understanding sugar content.

 

10 Meal Planning for a School Week Designing simple, no-cook lunch and snack plans.
